The Patriot Pride Weekly

Freedom High School Newsletter #11

October 25, 2026
Dear Patriot Family:

As we close another exciting week at Freedom High School, I continue to be amazed by the talent, dedication, and school spirit displayed throughout our campus. This week's newsletter is filled with examples of what makes our Patriot community so special.

Our students continue to excel in the classroom, from earning industry certifications in our CTE programs to engaging in innovative learning experiences through AI, environmental science, mathematics, and the arts. It has also been inspiring to see students preparing for regional competitions, athletic tryouts, and opportunities that will help shape their futures.

I would like to extend a special thank you to our teachers, support staff, coaches, sponsors, and families who work tirelessly to provide exceptional experiences for our students. Whether organizing events, mentoring students, supporting extracurricular activities, or creating engaging lessons, your commitment continues to make a difference each day.

As we look ahead, I encourage our students to stay focused academically, take advantage of opportunities such as Amnesty Saturdays, and get involved in the many activities and events on campus.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support of Freedom High School. We are proud of our students, grateful for our staff, and honored to serve such an outstanding community.

With Patriot Pride,

Charles M. France

Student Patriots in the Spotlight

Honoring Excellence On Campus and in the Community

♻️ AP Environmental Science Steps into Sustainability

Students in Mr. Lang's and Ms. Fierle's AP Environmental Science classes combined creativity and environmental awareness through a unique hands-on project. Students designed and built shoes using recyclable materials to represent the size of the ecological footprint of a country they selected to study.
Through this engaging activity, students explored how resource consumption varies worldwide while applying concepts of sustainability, conservation, and environmental impact. The impressive designs showcased both scientific understanding and artistic creativity, highlighting the innovative work taking place in our AP Environmental Science classrooms.

Engaging Math Learning in Action

Students in Ms. Haba's and Ms. Flores' Algebra and AP Pre-Calculus classes are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences that make math both interactive and enjoyable. Through thoughtful instruction, collaborative activities, and frequent opportunities for participation, students are challenged to think critically, explain their reasoning, and apply mathematical concepts with confidence.
Their classrooms are filled with energy, academic discussions, and a strong commitment to student success.

Celebrating Our Amazing ESE Team

Every day, our outstanding ESE Team goes above and beyond to support, inspire, and care for our students. Their dedication to creating meaningful learning experiences and fostering a sense of belonging makes a lasting impact on the lives of our Patriots.
Last week, our ESE teachers brought that same passion and care outside the classroom by organizing a special Homecoming Dance for our ESE students. Students enjoyed an evening filled with music, dancing, laughter, and unforgettable memories, all made possible by the hard work and commitment of our incredible ESE staff.
Thank you to our ESE Team for creating opportunities that celebrate every student and for making Freedom a place where all Patriots can learn, connect, and shine. We are grateful for all that you do!

Patriot Innovation: Leading the Future with AI

Learn. Innovate. Create. Lead.

AI in Action Across Freedom High School

Our teachers continue to find innovative ways to use artificial intelligence as a tool to enhance learning, creativity, and classroom instruction.
Ms. Christian is using AI to support her upcoming Odyssey lessons by creating a family tree of the Olympian gods and goddesses, helping students better understand the relationships between key figures in Greek mythology.
In Mr. Key's class, students are exploring the fascinating evolution of artificial intelligence through presentations on the history of AI, learning how this technology has developed and influenced our world over time.
Meanwhile, Mr. Correa is leveraging AI to help create engaging instructional slideshows that make content more accessible and visually appealing for students, demonstrating how technology can enhance teaching and learning.
These examples showcase how AI is used at Freedom as a support tool for organization, presentation, and learning, helping students and teachers engage with content in new and meaningful ways.
A composite image shows a computer monitor displaying an Olympian family tree, two students in a classroom, and a SMART Board showing a Physics Honors exit ticket.

AI Transparency Statement:

Each edition of our Freedom High School newsletter highlights the people, programs, and achievements that make our Patriot community extraordinary. Every story, photo, and celebration featured reflects the authentic experiences, accomplishments, and contributions of our students, teachers, coaches, staff, and families.
To support the creation of the newsletter, we may use AI-powered tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Canva, and ChatGPT to assist with editing, organizing, formatting, and refining content. These tools help enhance the presentation of our stories, but the information shared always comes from real events and the genuine successes of our Freedom High School community.
Technology helps us tell the story more effectively, but the heart of every story remains our Freedom Patriots.
