Dear Patriot Family,
What an incredible week it has been at Freedom High School! Our campus has been full of energy and pride as we celebrated the many accomplishments of our students, staff, and community. From outstanding performances by our orchestra and band students, exciting athletic events like our Track & Field Invitational, and recognition of our dedicated teachers and athletic trainers, to joyful celebrations such as our Multicultural Festival preparations and theatre students gearing up for Disney’s Descendants, our Patriots continue to shine in so many ways. We were also proud to welcome future Patriots from Freedom Middle School and to see our students take on leadership roles as ambassadors of our school culture. Thank you to our students for their hard work, to our staff for their unwavering dedication, and to our families and community for your continued support. Freedom High School truly is a special place because of all of you.
With Patriot Pride,

Academic Excellence at Freedom |
Students in AICE Portuguese experienced a unique and enriching lesson led by Ms. Lopes and Ms. Ibanhez, comparing European Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese. The lesson explored key linguistic, cultural, vocabulary, and pronunciation differences between the two varieties, giving students valuable insight into the diversity of the Portuguese language. Freedom High School is proud to be the only school in the district with both a teacher from Portugal and a teacher from Brazil working together in the classroom. This exceptional collaboration provides students with authentic exposure to Portuguese as it is spoken across the Lusophone world, significantly enhancing both their academic preparation and cultural understanding. Having access to both language variants not only better prepares students for AICE assessments but also fosters a deeper appreciation for global Portuguese‑speaking cultures. This partnership is truly a strength of our program and a remarkable opportunity for our Patriots. WE are Freedom! |
On March 26, AVID students from Freedom Middle School visited our Freedom High School classrooms for an engaging and meaningful campus experience. The visit was designed to show these future Patriots why Freedom High School is the best place to continue their secondary education. During their time on campus, students were welcomed into classrooms and learning spaces that reflect our strong academic rigor, positive culture, and sense of community. Our high school students and staff proudly served as ambassadors, modeling the values, expectations, and opportunities that make Freedom a special place to learn and grow. We look forward to welcoming these future Patriots as they continue their academic journey! 🇺🇸📚 |

We are thrilled to celebrate an outstanding season of achievement for our orchestra students! Their dedication and artistry were on full display through prestigious honors such as All‑County and All‑State selections, along with remarkable results at the Florida Orchestra Association Solo and Ensemble event, earning 2 Excellents, 12 Superiors, and an impressive 4 Superiors with Distinction. At the FOA Music Performance Assessment, our ensembles excelled as well, with the Patriot Philharmonic receiving a Superior, Chamber Orchestra an Excellent, and Sinfonia Orchestra a Superior rating. Most recently, students gained an unforgettable musical and cultural experience during our New York trip, where they represented our school with professionalism, pride, and passion. These accomplishments reflect the talent, hard work, and teamwork of our students and directors, and we couldn’t be more proud of their continued success! |

United as Patriots: Celebrating Spirit, Building Connections! |
Our Music Department brought energy and excitement to A and B lunches with a variety of fun and interactive music activities for our Patriots to enjoy! Students had the opportunity to test their knowledge with music trivia, show off their skills in Finish the Lyric, grab the mic for karaoke, and laugh along while playing musical chairs. These activities created an inclusive, high‑energy atmosphere that brought students together through their shared love of music. A special thank you goes out to the teachers and students who helped organize and run these activities. Your creativity, teamwork, and dedication made lunchtime an unforgettable experience for our school community! |
Our Freedom community came together in a fun and creative way to celebrate Principal France’s birthday! Teachers and students joined in the festivities by dressing up as Mr. France and decorating paper coffee cups filled with birthday wishes to show their appreciation and school spirit. As we look ahead to the 2026–2027 school year, we invite our Patriot families to take an active role in shaping the future of Freedom High School. Elections for next year’s School Advisory Council (SAC) and Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) are coming soon, and we would love to see more parents involved. SAC and PTSA are essential partners in supporting our academic programs, planning meaningful events, and ensuring that family voices help guide school decisions. Whether you are new to Freedom or a longtime member of our community, your perspective and participation truly matter. There are only two more SAC and one PTSA meetings left this school year, making this the perfect time to join in, learn more, and see how you can contribute. Come be part of the conversation. Come be part of the Patriot community. Together, we can make Freedom High School even stronger for every student. |
The School Advisory Council (SAC) is a team of parents, teachers, students, and community members who work together to support school improvement and ensure that family voices help guide key decisions at Freedom High School. We will be holding elections for the new 2026–2027 SAC board at our May 18th meeting, and we encourage parents to get involved and make a meaningful impact on our school community. |
