Dear Patriot Family,
Every day, our students remind us what Honor, Excellence, and Tradition truly look like at Freedom High School. I am incredibly proud of the way our Patriots continue to shine, both in the classroom and through the arts.
This month, our talented Patriot artist students represented us beautifully at the Winter Park Arts Festival, one of the nation's most respected showcases. Our Patriot Band marched with skill and pride in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in New York City, performing on one of the world’s largest stages. And our dedicated theatre students earned Superior, Excellent, and Top Honor recognitions at the Florida State Thespian Festival in Tampa. Their achievements reflect the dedication, creativity, and passion that define our school community.
I was also deeply touched, watching students build new friendships, discover new hobbies, and learn new skills during our final Freedom Fest of the year. These moments of connection and joy embody the spirit of what it means to be a Patriot.
As we move into the final stretch of the school year, I encourage all students to stay focused on our academic expectations. Being present, staying engaged, and preparing for upcoming assessments will ensure a strong finish as we begin our last quarter of the 2025-2026 school year.
Thank you, Patriots, for the pride you bring to Freedom High School every single day. Let’s finish the year with purpose and excellence.
Proud to be your principal,
Charles M. France

We are proud to recognize the incredible talent and dedication of the young artists from Ms. Watson’s Painting class and Mr. Whittaker’s Drawing class, who represented Freedom High School at this year’s Winter Park Arts Festival.
As one of the nation’s largest, oldest, and most prestigious outdoor art shows, the Winter Park Arts Festival has been a celebrated tradition since 1960, attracting top artists and thousands of visitors each year. Our Patriots, from 9th to 12th grade, rose to the occasion, showcasing their creativity, skill, and passion with a total of 50 pieces.
Their artwork stood out beautifully and reflected the strength of our visual arts program. We are so proud of their accomplishment and grateful for the guidance and inspiration provided by their teachers.
Congratulations to our talented young artists! You represented Freedom with excellence and artistry! 🎨💙❤️

United as Patriots: Celebrating Spirit, Building Connections!
|
On March 12th, our Patriots enjoyed an incredible afternoon of excitement and connection during Freedom Fest #4! With 92 different activities to choose from, students had the opportunity to explore new interests, discover hidden talents, and enjoy time with friends and teachers.
From crochet, board games, and karaoke to dancing, boot camp workouts, and field games, there was truly something for everyone. Whether students wanted to relax with a creative hobby, get active outdoors, or try something completely new, this event offered a perfect way to unwind and connect.
Freedom Fest wasn’t just about fun; it was also about building community. Students made new friendships, strengthened bonds with teachers, and enjoyed learning skills that they may carry with them beyond the classroom.
A huge shout‑out to our amazing staff who planned, organized, and led activities throughout our Freedom Fest. Their enthusiasm and dedication made Freedom Fest #4 a memorable experience for all our Patriots. 💙❤️

Patriot Athletics Spotlight
|
As we look ahead to the 2026–2027 school year, we invite our Patriot families to take an active role in shaping the future of Freedom High School. Elections for next year’s School Advisory Council (SAC) and Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) are coming soon, and we would love to see more parents involved.
SAC and PTSA are essential partners in supporting our academic programs, planning meaningful events, and ensuring that family voices help guide school decisions. Whether you are new to Freedom or a longtime member of our community, your perspective and participation truly matter.
There are only two more SAC and one PTSA meetings left this school year, making this the perfect time to join in, learn more, and see how you can contribute.
Come be part of the conversation.
Come be part of the Patriot community.
Together, we can make Freedom High School even stronger for every student.
|
The School Advisory Council (SAC) is a team of parents, teachers, students, and community members who work together to support school improvement and ensure that family voices help guide key decisions at Freedom High School. We will be holding elections for the new 2026–2027 SAC board at our May 18th meeting, and we encourage parents to get involved and make a meaningful impact on our school community. |
