Xello Course Planner

Posted Date: 01/21/26 (05:11 PM)

Hello Parents,

Yesterday, all 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students received training on Xello. Xello is a K–12 online college and career readiness platform that helps students explore career and college options and create actionable plans for their future. It includes assessments, career research tools, résumé building, and goal‑setting features to help guide students’ future pathways.

We are currently working through some technical issues in Xello and have discovered errors in several students’ historical records. Please do not worry, because Skyward remains the accurate source of information. At this time, please avoid emailing your student’s counselor about Xello issues. Instead, encourage your student to bring up any concerns during their individual meeting.

Students will meet individually with their counselors through their World History classes (9th grade) and English classes (10th and 11th grade). If a student does not have an English class, their counselor will reach out via email to schedule an individual meeting. These meetings will be the time to review course requests and correct any errors. Counselors can override Xello requirements while still ensuring your student stays on track for graduation.

It is very important that students complete the Google Form for their grade level and update it if they make any changes to their course requests. If we notice any issues in Xello, we will defer to the information submitted in the Google Form. The Google Form will close on January 26th at noon.

• Current 10th and 11th Grade: https://tinyurl.com/FHS2627CR

Xello is also not currently giving students credit for the courses they are enrolled in this year. Because of this, students should not submit their Xello course requests until that issue has been resolved so their plans can be as accurate as possible. We will send out additional communication once this issue with current‑year courses has been fixed.

I’ve attached the tentative schedule for individual counselor meetings. Please ensure your student is present on their assigned day. If they are absent, their counselor will follow up by email to reschedule. You can also view the presentation shared with students by clicking here.
