Senior Signing Day 9:00 am in the FHS Gymnasium. Parents are invited to attend your college signing day ceremony. Be sure to send/give your acceptance letter to your guidance counselor. During the 2025 Legislative Session, House Bill 1105 amended section 1003.4282, Florida Statutes, removing the certificate of completion. The State Board of Education voted to amend Rule 6A-1.09963, Florida Administrative Code, based on the new legislative changes. What does this mean? It means that any student who has not passed both the Grade 10 FAST ELA Reading Assessment and the B.E.S.T. Algebra 1 End-of-Course (EOC) Assessment, or earned an equivalent concordant score, will NOT be permitted to participate in the graduation ceremony, as they will NOT be receiving a high school diploma. Important Graduation Policy Notice Students will NOT be permitted to participate in the graduation ceremony unless they pass both required exams before the graduation date. This is a district-wide policy enforced by Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) and applies to all OCPS high schools. It is not a policy specific to Freedom High School. Please plan accordingly and ensure all graduation requirements are met in advance. If you are unsure if your student is on track for graduation, please contact their school counselor.
