2019 Shakespeare Competition WinnerOn February 25th, 2019, The Central Florida Branch of the English Speaker's Union (ESU) hosted 17 student competitors from three different school districts in their annual Shakespeare competition.

These students were the school site winners representing both public and private schools.

Freedom Patriot and sophomore, Marcela Griebler, performed Lady Macbeth's Monologue from Macbeth (Act 5 Scene 1) and Sonnet 138 both by William Shakespeare.

After impressing both the audience and judges, Marcela was awarded first place and will be the only Central Florida student moving forward to compete at the national level in New York City, performing on the Lincoln Center Stage, in April.

We would like to proudly congratulate Marcela Griebler for this accomplishment and wish her to "break-a-leg" in New York City!
